About Mark-

Journalist Mark Allen Johnson’s images, written stories, investigative reports, and tv documentaries have been seen on nearly every continent and countless countries.
Using unorthodox methods and a global network of contacts, Johnson specializes in producing stories from within difficult and dangerous-to-access areas and subcultures. Mark employs a mix of brains and bravado to gain access to these highly secretive and hard to reach worlds where he's negotiated with meth cookers, arms dealers, gangsters, and countless other underground groups/individuals. He's been chased, blindfolded, and threatened with his life. He prides himself in making the impossible, possible.
Additionally, Johnson holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and has worked in conjunction with domestic and international police, military, prisons, and governments. Mark has reported from Central and South America and multiple African conflict zones. He has documented the current Mexican narco war and has been embedded with U.S. troops in Iraq.
In late 2011, Mark completed a three-part special documentary series entitled American Underworld for the Discovery Channel where he served as executive producer, director of photography, and presenter for each 1-hour episode.
