Smoking dope, sipping champagne, cruising the streets in his Rolls Royce and beating up his “hoes”; that’s what everyday life to Donald Campbell aka Don “Magic” Juan was when he was the most notorious pimp of Chicago’s West Side. Until he had a vision; “A light within my head. It was God telling me that I had to change my ways or I would die within the next couple of weeks.” Dying he did not want, so Campbell became a priest, called himself Archbishop Don “Magic” Juan and with a little help from his sister, Ann, wrote a book about his high-rolling years called “From Pimp Stick to Pulpit”.

His life after his “spiritual awakening”: smoking dope, sipping champagne, cruising the streets in his Rolls Royce – and playing spiritual advisor to A-list hip hop and rap stars like Snoop Dog, Nelly, P Diddy and 50 Cent who even wrote a song (P.I.M.P.). After countless video, movie, and TV show appearances, “The Bishop”, who is said to have fathered 17 kids, and his flashy outfits have become a well known brand of their own including a new cd called “Green is for the Money, Gold is for the Honeys” after his personal motto, a sneaker collection and plans for a TV show. I consider myself a role model for young people, says Campbell who preaches against drugs and drinking on his answer machine.

The advice he most often gives to his high profile friends: “Control and instruct your woman. She needs it”.
